Responsibilities
Recruiting and Onboarding: Assist with ensuring that new hires have a positive onboarding experience. Ensure compliance with new hire paperwork.
Human Resources Support: Perform routine administrative tasks that ensure smooth HR operations and compliance with established processes and documentation standards. This includes updating and maintaining employee records in the HRIS system and processing employee changes.
Time and Attendance: Monitor and assist in issues related to employee’s timekeeping and attendance. Ensure accuracy for reporting and payroll processes. Assist employees with taking leave and providing documentation to employees for leave requests.
Employee Records Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, ensuring compliance with legal and organizational requirements. Regularly update systems and files to reflect changes such as promotions, transfers, or terminations.
Workplace Culture and Employee Engagement: Support initiatives that promote a positive workplaces culture such as recognition programs and employee events. Act as a resource for employees, fostering open communication and a supportive environment.

Job Duties
Compliance and Records Management
- Maintains accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation.
- Ensures the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records, as well as matters related to current, past, and potential employees.
- Performs periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately.
Administrative Support
- Provides clerical support to the HR department.
- Assists with administrative documentation related to new hires, the medical plan, prescription reimbursements, safety glasses orders, and time and attendance processes.
- Orders merchandise and materials needed for the department.
Employee Engagement
- Answers frequently asked questions from employees related to policies, benefits, and leave; refers complex inquiries to HR Manager.
- Assist employees with questions regarding the HRIS and ensure accurate data entry.
- Travels to and works from DeLong’s Sedalia location to assist with HR matters as needed.
- Assists with the planning and execution of company events, such as company-wide meetings, annual health fairs, employee recognition events, holiday parties, and retirement celebrations.
HRIS and Data Management
- Maintains data entry and updates in the Company’s HRIS system.
- Assists with leave administration and time management processes.
- Performs periodic audits of employee’s files in the HRIS system.
