A growing manufacturer in Solon,Ohio is seeking an experienced CNC Lathe and Mill Programmer to join our dynamic team. We’re looking for a motivated individual with a strong background in programming and operating CNC machinery to help us meet increased production demands. Key Responsibilities:
- Program CNC machines (2 Mori Seiki Lathes with bar feeder and CMXV Mill) using conversational programming and offline software (e.g., Mastercam).
- Create and maintain documentation, including tool lists, setup sheets, diagrams, and process simulations.
- Assist machinists by providing clear instructions, training, and production support.
- Select and verify appropriate tooling, cutting tools, and work holding fixtures.
- Troubleshoot programming, tooling, and machining issues.
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to prioritize jobs and resolve technical challenges.
- Continuously improve machining processes and stay current with new programming and tooling technologies.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 3 years of CNC programming experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency with offline CAM software (preferably Mastercam).
- Strong understanding of blueprint reading and GD&T.
- Familiarity with calipers, micrometers, tape measures, and precision measuring tools.
- Knowledge of cutting tools, feeds, speeds, IPM, IPR, and SFPM.
- Experience machining a variety of metal types.
- Working knowledge of CNC lathes and vertical machining centers.
- Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and work independently or as part of a team.
- Strong 3D spatial reasoning and attention to detail.
- High emotional intelligence and effective communication skills for team collaboration.
