Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Procurement Specialist to support the Key Bridge Rebuild Project. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the end-to-end procurement process for specific scopes of work, ensuring that contracts are executed efficiently and in compliance with project requirements. The Procurement Specialist will lead procurement discussions, address discrepancies, and ensure that materials and services are delivered on time, in line with the client’s expectations, and consistent with the company’s contracting procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and issue comprehensive Requests for Proposals (RFPs) that align with the specific requirements of the project, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Research and evaluate potential suppliers, assessing factors such as pricing, product quality, service capabilities, reputation, reliability, and overall fit for the project’s needs.
- Lead the supplier selection process, ensuring that chosen vendors meet the necessary quality, cost, and delivery criteria.
- Act as the primary liaison between the project team, vendors, and legal department to resolve any escalated or complex contract issues or disputes.
- Facilitate smooth communication between stakeholders to ensure procurement activities are completed on schedule.
- Monitor and track the delivery of materials and services, ensuring they meet project specifications, safety standards, and deadlines.
- Provide proactive solutions to mitigate any risks related to procurement, including supply chain disruptions, delays, or cost overruns.
- Assist in the development of procurement-related documentation and reports for internal and external stakeholders, ensuring all records are maintained in accordance with company policies.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in supply chain management, including expertise in the RFP/Bid process, contract negotiation, and execution.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook), with the ability to create detailed reports, presentations, and communications.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with various stakeholders, including vendors, project teams, and legal departments.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and coordination skills, ensuring that tasks are prioritized and completed within set deadlines.
