Job Description :
Our client located in the Springfield, MA area has an immediate opening for a Telecommunications Engineer to join their team in a hybrid remote capacity.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement analog and digital voice communication systems, including PBX, Voice gateways, IAD routers, FXS / FXO, VoIP, SIP, LTE and related technologies.
- Conduct performance analysis of voice communication systems and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Develop and maintain circuit management solutions, including traffic analysis, network optimization, and troubleshooting with commercial vendors.
- Configure and maintain multiplexers for data transmission over communication lines.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop and deploy reliable voice communication solutions that meet business needs.
- Work together with a team on various projects to update and modernize telecom and network infrastructure.
- Identify and recommend the latest telecommunication technologies, standards, and best practices.
- Provide guidance to junior engineers and technicians.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation and diagrams.
- Participate in project planning and management, including scoping, execution, and documentation.
- Work with various carriers, LECs and vendors to complete and maintain circuits and circuit orders.
