Job Summary: The Logistics Attendant is responsible for warehousing and distribution of aircraft parts and related materials within logistics operation. The Logistics Attendant is also responsible for effective communication with appropriate DMS teams; procurement team, sales team, repair team, Delta team, etc. Distribution & logistics personnel, as well as maintenance.
What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)
Job Qualifications: Minimum high school diploma or GED equivalent required. Candidate must be authorized to work in the US, have a valid driver's license, and be at least 18 years of age. Candidate must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently. Must be able to work a flexible schedule including fixed or rotating shifts, both indoors and outdoors, include traveling, overtime, nights, weekends, and holidays. Candidate must also achieve a satisfactory score on entry tests structured to determine ability to perform required tasks.
Job Functions:
Resolve product or service problems by clarifying the customer's complaint; determining the cause of the problem; selecting and explaining the best solution to solve the problem; expediting correction or adjustment; following up to ensure resolution.
Prepare product or service reports by collecting and analyzing customer information.
Manage large amounts of incoming calls, or related Customer Service Tools to quickly assess and resolve materials related inquiries.
Critical thinking and Interpersonal skills that encourage active listening. The ability to dialogue with peers, as well as multiple levels of departmental, divisional, and executive leadership.
Handle complaints, provide appropriate solutions and alternatives within the time limits and follow up to ensure resolution.
Inventory control and integrity include processing parts data integrity issues, which include materials master changes, correcting data integrity issues in SAP, researching root cause, and providing feedback to address root cause.
Routine Duties include, but are not limited to, parts ordering, receiving, binning, shipping, packaging, maintaining inventory control and integrity.
Safe operation of mechanical and manual material handling equipment, as well as safe operation of company vehicle
Must be able to work efficiently and be self-motivated with little or no supervision. Must practices safety conscious behaviors in all operational processes and procedures.
Demonstrates that privacy is a priority when handling personal data.
Embraces a diverse set of people, thinking and styles.
Consistently makes safety and security, of self and others, the priority.
