Delta Air Lines’ Operations & Customer Center (OCC) is seeking qualified co-op students, available for a minimum of 3 alternating work terms (Fall 2025, Summer 2026 and Spring, 2027).
OCC Co-Ops will be assigned to one of the teams that support Delta’s 24/7 operation. The OCC is the “heartbeat” and nerve center of Delta’s world-wide operations and is responsible for all tactical and strategic decision-making for any operational disruption in our worldwide network. Co-ops will work with aviation professionals, supporting our teams by using data to solve operational business challenges.
A Co-Op will be assigned to one of the following teams:
- Air Traffic Management– This OCC Co-Op will be assigned to Air Traffic Management team within the OCC, which is a diverse back-office team with operational experts who oversee Delta’s relationship and strategy with the FAA and Air Traffic Control facilities as well as experienced analytical professionals who build and maintain data-driven solutions geared toward efficiency of the national airspace. This Co-Op will leverage the team’s operational experience along with internal and external data sources to develop analysis and data products designed to mitigate system delay and improve operational decision making.
- Operations Management – This OCC Co-op will be assigned to Operations Management, which is responsible for overseeing Delta's day-to-day operation, including aircraft and crew resources. This Co-op will work with the Operations Management's back office team and will assist in creating applications and identifying eficiencies in order to streamline workflow.
- Working as a Co-op does not guarantee a full-time opportunity upon graduation. This position is intended to provide you with educational, and professional work experience to prepare you for the workforce.
- This position requires you to work for 3 alternating semesters. You cannot actively take any courses (inclusive of online or in-person) and work as a Co-op at the same time, which may delay your graduation by 1-2 semesters.
- Rotations: Fall 2025, Summer 2026, Spring 2027.
- Undergraduate students in pursuit of a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Analytics, Economics, Industrial Engineering, Aviation Management or similar 4-year degree program.
- Must be available to work for three alternating semesters in Atlanta, GA, Monday through Friday 8AM – 5PM work schedule.
- Must be enrolled with educational institution throughout duration of co-op program.
- Willingness/ability to learn new skills is required - be willing try new things and fail, learn from each experience and improve.
- Willingness to brainstorm with and leverage expertise of other team members, maintaining a team-first attitude with success of your team as top priority.
- Strong organizational, project management, and verbal/written communication skills are essential.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel & PowerPoint.
- Must be comfortable working in group and individual settings
- Consistently makes safety and security, of self and others, the priority.
- Embraces diverse people, thinking, and styles.
- Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency.
- Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the United States.
