Delta Air Lines, Inc. has multiple openings for Senior Engineer, Propulsion Repair Process Engineers in Atlanta, Georgia.
Key Responsibilities :
- Work directly with engine maintenance, engineering team members, and engineering management to develop, repair, and process solutions for turbofan engine components.
- Develop relationships and work with outside repair vendors to develop, repair, and identify savings opportunities for turbofan engine components.
- Define scope of work for development projects, including equipment, tooling, and labor requirements.
- Establish and maintain schedules that achieve defined objectives.
- Collaborate with Delta's SMEs and ODAs to develop substantiation and regulatory compliance plans.
- Organize and prepare all relevant reports, drawings, and engineering authorizations for assigned projects.
- Telecommuting permitted 1 day per week.

Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Material Science Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, or a related field, and 3 years of experience in a Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) organization in an engineering role with repair development responsibilities.In the alternative, will accept a Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Material Science Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, or a related field, and 1 year of experience in a Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) organization in an engineering role with repair development responsibilitiesMust have academic or work experience in :
Computer Aided Design (CAD) SoftwareAircraft or turbofan engine part design or repairMetallurgy or materials analysisCreating technical engineering reportsReviewing technical documentation, including repair manuals, technical / service bulletins, or drawingsWhat will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications)
Airline experience preferred
