Delta Air Lines, Inc. has multiple openings for Senior Engineers in Atlanta, Georgia.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide engineering support to Line, Base, and Cabin Maintenance for any aircraft issues.
- Develop timely repairs, solutions, and engineering substantiations for aircraft structures and systems where existing approved solutions do not exist.
- Maintain on-time performance goals for the airline while producing new solutions to support the Maintenance Control Center (MCC) with issues that cannot be solved through existing resources.
- Ensure compliance per 14CFR regulations in design activities.
- Technical document creation following safety and compliance.
- Act as Liaison with representatives outside of the assigned group/area.
- Contribute to planning, developing, and coordinating of important engineering projects.
- Maintain current knowledge of developments in the field of specialty and/or other related aircraft fields in order to recommend innovations to improve quality and effectiveness of company product.
- Work under limited supervision. Telecommuting permitted 1 day per week.

- Must have work experience in:
- Aircraft structural repair including static and fatigue analysis of primary and secondary airframe structures of metallic construction;
- Airframe design including composite and metallic bonding structures with experience in evaluating discrepant conditions and developing repairs;
- Aircraft and electrical systems including evaluating and wiring diagram manuals, drawings, and system schematics to troubleshoot and provide solutions;
- Aircraft analysis of designs which include basic static stress analysis and using computer aided design tools including AutoCAD or CATIA V in the interrogation of aircraft structures; and
- Aircraft regulations - 14CFR.
