What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Engineer position at Delta Air Lines?
Delta Air Lines, Inc. has multiple openings for Senior Engineers in Atlanta, Georgia.
Key Responsibilities :
- Provide engineering support to Line, Base, and Cabin Maintenance for any aircraft issues.
- Develop timely repairs, solutions, and engineering substantiations for aircraft structures and systems where existing approved solutions do not exist.
- Maintain on-time performance goals for the airline while producing new solutions to support the Maintenance Control Center (MCC) with issues that cannot be solved through existing resources.
- Ensure compliance per 14CFR regulations in design activities.
- Technical document creation following safety and compliance.
- Act as Liaison with representatives outside of the assigned group / area.
- Contribute to planning, developing, and coordinating of important engineering projects.
- Maintain current knowledge of developments in the field of specialty and / or other related aircraft fields in order to recommend innovations to improve quality and effectiveness of company product.
- Work under limited supervision. Telecommuting permitted 1 day per week.

What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)
Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering or a related field, and 5 years of experience in aerospace engineering or a related field. In the alternative, will accept a Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering or a related field, and 2 years of experience in aerospace engineering or related.
