Essential tasks:
- Maintain a high level of professionalism, integrity, trust, and confidentiality
- Develop and sustain a high level of professionalism among staff and clientele
- Coordinate communications, including taking calls, responding to emails and interfacing with patients and other professionals
- Maintain accurate correspondence records
- Schedule and confirm patient appointments; accurately manage providers’ schedules
- Greet all visitors/patients, ascertain purpose of visit and direct to appropriate staff
- Perform various clerical or administrative functions as needed
- Assist patients with document completion (questionnaires, insurance info., consents etc.)
- Create, maintain, and enter information into databases
- Verify patient insurance
- Maintain a strict level of confidentiality
- Possess an associate’s degree (or higher) in related field- certification in billing and coding is a plus
- Demonstrate an ability to work independently, organize, think creatively, and problem solve
- Take pride in executing job, paying attention to detail with minimal workflow defects
