Description
- Assist Branch Manager/Lender in all areas of loan production.
- Develop relationships with customers in order to handle routine tasks, loan requests and anticipate their loan needs.
- Consult with applicants to determine nature of loan request and determine what steps will be required to complete the request.
- Obtain information related to the loan process including: ordering credit reports, facilitating requests for appraisals, flood certifications, ordering title opinions, UCC searches, environmental reports, insurance information, Secretary of State filings etc., and communicate with those parties as needed.
- Assist in preparing loan presentations (both for officer limits and for submission to appropriate levels of authority), closing loans and packaging loans to be sent to the Note Department for processing.
- Provide administrative support such as filing, copying, scanning, organizing files, keying in data for tracking, typing letters, etc.
- Meet with lenders daily for job assignments and follow-up of previous assignments.
- Assist in compliance with the banks loan policy along with Federal and State lending regulations.
- Any and all other duties or special projects as assigned. The responsibilities and duties of this position are subject to change without prior notice as the needs and/or circumstances of the bank change.
- Back up teller and/or CSR as necessary.
Qualifications
- A minimum of five (5) years banking experience, with at least 2 of those years in a lending related and/or support role.
- Must be detailed oriented/organized.
- Must be able to multitask and follow-up timely with minimum supervision.
- Ability to prioritize daily work flows.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
- Customer service oriented.
- Excellent communications skills, written and verbal.
- Perform well while meeting deadlines in a fast-past environment.
