South Town Mall Security Officer (Week Days)

JOB SUMMARY:

The South Town Mall Security Officer works to ensure the efficient day-to-day operations of the facility. The Officer will work directly with the building’s front-desk team members ensuring the safety and security of the building’s employees, and guests. The Officer will remain in close contact with and report to the Sr. Manager, Building Security. Monday-Friday 9am-5pm. $17 per hour.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Possess a strong understanding of all areas of the facility
• Execute policies and procedures to maintain the highest quality of public safety
• Write reports of daily activities and irregularities, such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences
• Answer alarms and investigate disturbances
• Interact with guests and employees entering the facility
• Have extensive knowledge of the facility’s camera system and other security systems
• Must be able to take objections and respond with a guest service approach first
• Enforce facility safety and security rules and policies
• Foster strong communication within the department
• Ensure consistent standards of practice
• Embrace a culture of diversity and inclusion where guests and team members feel welcomed, valued, and heard
• Enrich lives by creating winning experiences and timeless memories
• Operate with an emphasis on safety for employees, teams, and guests

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must be at least 18 years of age or older
• Ability to multitask and stay organized
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to stay calm in highly stressful situations
• Must be able to work in a collaborative manner

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• This person must be able to communicate and express themselves both written and verbally
• This person must be able to observe, inspect, estimate, and assess
• This person must be able to sit, stand, bend, walk, and climb stairs for long periods of time
• This person must be able to lift 20 lbs
