Job Description
Delta Community is the largest and one of the fastest growing credit unions in Georgia. Our rapid growth has created additional career opportunities within the organization. We are looking for energetic, flexible, and service oriented individuals for the following position.
The Business Development Manager will define short and long-term departmental strategic goals, build key customer relationships, identify business opportunities and maintain extensive knowledge of current market conditions.
They will lead a team of business development representatives by providing day-to-day guidance, help manage staff schedules and monitor work quality. The Manager will analyze metrics-based reports using business intelligence data warehouse to demonstrate corporate account management progresses. They will also maintain and manage related budget responsibilities with the Vice President of Business and Community Development.

Essential Functions:
- Responsible for the overall development, implementation and progress of strategic business development targets
- Utilize Data Analytics, Customer Relationship Management and internal member platforms to identify opportunities for campaigns, services, and distribution channels that lead to increased revenue
- Cultivate an ongoing pipeline of new business through extensive knowledge of the metro Atlanta and out-of-state branch membership markets
- Lead a business development team which evaluates and formulates strategies for business growth and manages account portfolios
- Assist business development representatives with the development of unique proposals that meet corporate account needs, concerns and objectives
- Manage staff schedules and workflow, provide day-to-day guidance and monitor work quality
- Work collaboratively with internal lines of business to increase sales opportunities and maximize revenue
- Annually negotiate contractual agreements with external vendors for programmatic execution
- Attend civic and industry activities to gain insight into current market trends and incorporate into departmental business practices
- Manage business development budget to effectively track, assess and report progress to the Vice President of Business and Community Development

Job Qualifications
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Marketing or related field of study
- 10 years’ experience in outside sales and client services management
- 5 years’ proven leadership and staff management
- Ability to influence and partner across functions and all levels within a matrix organization
- Budget and forecast planning
- Proficient in data collection and analysis
- Strong written/verbal communication, time management and quantitative/analytical skills
- Experience handling complex business decisions on behalf of company
- Public speaking and presentation experience to small and large civic and corporate groups
- Strong project management skills
- Applies knowledge of credit union systems, policies and procedures
- Complies with all Credit Union policies and procedures including those related to Bank Secrecy Act regulations
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Nonprofit Management, Business, Communications or related field of study
- 12 years’ experience in outside sales and client services management
- 7 years’ proven leadership and staff management
- Proficiency in Microsoft applications and contact management software program or CRM systems
- Knowledge of credit union systems, policies and procedures
