GENERAL POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Oversee and coordinate personnel employed with road and bridge district for maintenance and construction work, operate and maintain heavy equipment routinely to accomplish district projects and maintenance.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist with planning, scheduling, organizing and overseeing road and bridge construction and maintenance operations of District applying good safety practices and procedures.
- In temporary absence of foreman, meet all responsibilities of Road and Bridge Foreman seeking approval and guidance from county administrative personnel as necessary.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent
Experience:
- At least five (5) years of experience directing and overseeing employees.
- At least ten (10) years of relevant road and bridge experience including equipment operations and maintenance including knowledge of methods, materials, and equipment necessary for efficient and safe construction and maintenance of roads and bridges. Should have thorough knowledge in use of asphalt products, Portland cement concrete, gravel mine operations.
- Basic knowledge of soil and base stabilization and preventive maintenance of asphalt roads is desired.
- Thorough knowledge in installation and maintenance of drainage structures, basic construction of steel, concrete and wooden bridges.
- Combination of education and experience could waive specific requirement.
Licenses/Certifications:
Current and valid Colorado Commercial Driver’s License
Salary Range:
$48,693 to $53,562 annually depending on qualified experience
