We are excited to announce our 2025 Summer Internship program!
Our summer internship program runs from Monday, June 9th, to Friday, August 1st. The program is hybrid, with in-office work on Tuesdays and Wednesdays and remote work on Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays. Hours are from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and we provide all necessary equipment to help you succeed in your role.
As an intern, you will work on real business projects, gaining exposure to various aspects of the company and having the opportunity to make an impact. You will also connect with Delta Dental employees across different business functions, helping you expand your professional network. Throughout the eight-week program, we’ll assist with resume and LinkedIn profile development and provide you with a LinkedIn Learning license. Interns will meet weekly to share experiences and learn from our business leaders. At the end of the program, interns will have the chance to have lunch with Delta Dental’s CEO.
Interns will be compensated at a rate of $20–$22 per hour, depending on experience.

Job Summary
Assist the Sales Team with various tasks and projects for internal and external contacts. Observe and collaborate with team members in a variety of roles. Intern will get exposure to all facets of the sales function and how the team works collaboratively with the Marketing and Account Management teams in particular.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities
- Small Group Segment
- Plan/rate validation for platforms
- Group Application validation for sold groups
- Small/Core
- Validation of Salesforce group and contact data
- Assistance with business intelligence tool prospecting
- Maintenance and organization of sales content and giveaways
- General support tasks as needed for NJ or CT teams
- Account Management
- Assist with client and broker service requests
- Follow through on issues to resolution
- Prepare reports and meeting materials
Intern Learning and Development Opportunities
Sales Process from quote through onboarding
- Sales Content – value proposition, proposal, PowerPoint presentations, etc.
- Sales Technology – introduction and exposure to Salesforce.com
- Sales Skills – observation of Account Executives, Account Managers
- Sales Operations – analytics, RFP, Benefit Fairs, support administration

Experience, Education and Certifications Required
1-3 years of relevant experience or university coursework, for example, business, business development or entrepreneurship, in area of internship, is a plus.
