Job Description for Sales Director for Automotive Components

The hiring location is Delta Automotive office in Plymouth Michigan.
Role Summary Essential Responsibilities:
- Responsible for lead a sales team to promote and sell automotive components into ADAS, Infotainment, Powertrain, Lighting, vehicle electronics, xEV, and EV charging applications. Components includes power and common mode chokes, high power magnetics, current sensor resistors, shunt modules, DC/DC power modules, busbars, cooling fans, HVAC blowers, liquid cooling, clutch solenoid and others.
- Develops and implements strategic marketing plans and sales plans to increase current market share and win new businesses.
- Oversees and evaluates market trend and competitor landscape, work with BG on new products development to meet evolving market and competitive conditions.
- Establishes and maintains relationships with industry influencers (Customers, Automotive related IC makers, and sales reps) and key strategic partners.
- Responsible for tracking and monitoring key customer opportunities and sales results for monthly reviews.
- Prepares business development plans, sales forecast reports and presents during operation and strategic reviews.
- Establish strong relationship with customers, representatives, and BG sales, marketing and engineering.
- Responsible for negotiation with customers for closing deals.
- Manages sales team activities, sets and evaluates performance goals accordingly.
- Provides or arranges sales team training on products, sales tools for productivity improvements.
- Responsible for recruiting and growing sales team members.
Requirements: Education/Qualification/Knowledge/Skills/Abilities/Experience:
- BSEE or MSEE with 10 years of sales/marketing experience in the automotive components industry.
- Prior experience working for tier-1/tier-2 automotive suppliers
- Proven track record in managing sales teams, account management, strategic planning and business growth.
- Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships with internal and external partners.
- Well networked in the automotive industry
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
