Production Supervisor
Position’s Purpose: The purpose of this position is to ensure that the planned production is carried out within the production schedule commitment, financial framework and in accordance with quality standards.
As the Production Supervisor, you are responsible for managing plant employees to meet manufacturing and production schedules. You will be coordinating production operations and maintaining effective quality procedures and safety regulations for the facility.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Under moderate supervision, performs the following duties and responsibilities:
. Develop and execute a daily priority list.
. Motivating, developing, and directing people as they work, identifying the best people for the job.
· Delegate work to Production team (Production Coordinator / Lead)
· Interview and hire job candidates. Oversee training issues and job requirements.
· Report status and progress in production meetings coordinating with planning, purchasing and shipping.
· Motivate, support and guide employees in production.
· Contribute to the continuous improvement of quality, productivity, cost efficiency and working environment in the department.
. Enforce safety and sanitation regulations.
· Production supervision, Plan and establish work schedules, assignments, and production sequences to meet production goals.
· Develop and execute a daily priority list.
· Purchase manufacturing related tools, jigs or fixtures as required
· Approves overtime, expenses, timecards and other employee related requests.
· Prepare required miscellaneous reports
. Read and analyze charts, work orders, production schedules, and other records and reports to determine production requirements and evaluate current production estimates and outputs.
Minimum Education, Skills and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Manufacturing, Business or related discipline
Four years of previous material planning, scheduling, production control, operations or a related function is required.
CPM and/or CPIM certifications preferred.
Demonstrated proficiency with computer software to include MS Office (Word and Excel), e-mail and SAP System/material planning systems required.
Ability to prioritize and multi-task effectively, strong project and time management skills required.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and ability to identify and resolve moderately complex issues is required.
High attention to detail and strong analytical skills are required.
Proven experience in operations, manufacturing, or supply chain
Excellent communication and listening skills

Ability to embrace continuous improvement
Strong collaboration and teaming skills with stakeholders across functions
Ability to coach and train employees
Preferred Experience:
4-6 years of Manufacturing experience with a minimum of 3 years of experience in Welding, Powder Coating, Manufacturing, Supervision and Lean Manufacturing
Physical Requirements:
This position requires long periods of sitting behind a desk and performing tasks on acomputer. Additional physical requirements include standing, bending, and hand dexterity, speaking, seeing and lifting/moving up to 30 pounds.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
