Are you looking for an opportunity to collaborate with a diverse group of individuals in a fast- paced environment? This position leads all payroll activities for domestic and international employees from our Indianapolis, IN headquarters.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate continuously with our parent company, Masco, and their payroll department as Delta’s payroll representative
- Responsible for the month end closing process and associated journal entries for domestic and international personnel
- Lead and assist with designs for all aspects associated with accounting policies and procedures in compliance with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act
- Lead and develop salaried personnel budgeting, forecasting and monthly reporting with associated variance analysis
- Provide monthly wage payments for international personnel
- Conduct monthly account analysis including balance sheet accounts
- Prepare the annual 941 year-end tax binder
- Respond positively to new and ever-changing processes and procedures.
- Interact frequently with internal Finance, Human Resources, and other staff at our Indianapolis headquarters and other plant locations as well as external international and other Masco Company locations
- Continuously stay abreast of changing laws and regulations regarding payroll
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting and 3-5 years of experience processing hourly and salaried payrolls; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Extensive knowledge of payroll processing techniques, laws, and systems designed to process large scale payrolls
- Previous experience with payroll software (Workday, Kronos and SAP)
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to effectively handle problems and maintain confidentiality
- Exhibit a high degree of professional excellence characterized by sound independent judgement, initiative and a high standard of ethics
- Demonstrated experience working independently and with minimal supervision
