Job Summary

We are seeking dedicated and passionate Restaurant Servers to join our exceptional team at a competitive pay rate of $15-20/HR based on the last 12 months average pay rate for our restaurant servers consisting of a base pay rate of $12/HR Tips.

The Restaurant Server’s responsibilities include but are not limited to providing the highest quality of service to guests in an attentive, courteous, and efficient manner. The restaurant supervisor is also responsible for receiving and delivering guest orders and collecting payment.

Essential Functions

• Greets guests and presents them with the menu.
• Informs guests about the special items for the day and any menu changes.
• Suggests food and beverages to guests and also tries to upsell.
• Takes food and beverage orders from the guests on an order taking pad and enters into the Point of Sale (POS) system.
• Obtaining revenues, issuing receipts, accepting payments and returning change.
• Performing basic cleaning tasks as needed or directed by supervisor.
• Filling in for absent staff as needed
• Entering the order into the POS system making sure to enter any special requirements (No Garlic, less spicy, without egg etc.).
• Communicates to the guests and provides assistance with their queries.
• Coordinates with the bussers, kitchen staff and bar staff to ensure smooth operations and guest satisfaction.
• Serves food and beverages to guests per their order.
• Observes guests and ensures their satisfaction is met with the food and service.
• Promptly responds to guests with any additional requests.
• Maintains a proper dining experience for the guests including delivering items, fulfilling customer needs, offering desserts and drinks, removing courses, replenishing utensils and refilling glasses.
• Prepares mixed drinks for service to the guest’s table.
• Properly opens and pours wine at the tableside.
• Adheres to grooming and appearance standards consistently.
• Understands and communicates products and services available at the hotel.
• Must have some familiarity with basic cooking skills.
• Assists bussers with stocking and maintaining the restaurant’s par stock levels and side stations.
• Helps other areas of the restaurant, such as, answering telephones and completing financial transactions.
• Prints closing reports and drops the cash with the front office or accounting department as assigned by the hotel.
• Tallies the credit card settlements for the day with the batch closing report from the credit card processing machine.
• Closes the shift on the POS terminal.
• Complies with attendance rules and is available to work on a regular basis.
• Performs any other job-related duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent and/or experience in a hotel or a related field preferred.
• Excellent oral communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to handle the local and primary language used in the workplace.
