Your Opportunity
As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for building customer relationships and providing service excellence by responding to customer sites for scheduled maintenance, service repairs, calibrations, compliance testing, equipment upgrades, and more. You will work independently much of the time, but you will have the support of our Brookfield-based office team and the reputation of a 40 year-old company behind you.
*Candidates must be located within Chicago area, or already in the state of Illinois. This position does require you to travel throughout your assigned territory to service customer sites when needed. (Servicing Northern Illinois and NW Indiana)*
Responsibilities
- Perform calibrations, compliance testing, scheduled maintenance, and service repair of medical imaging equipment at customer sites with little to no supervision.
- Support field service operations across multiple modalities.
- Work with customer IT departments for proper equipment networking.
- Provide efficient and expedient service delivery to all accounts in a given area.
- Perform administrative duties accurately using appropriate technologies and good communication.
- Establish and maintain a favorable business relationship with customers and peers.
- Demonstrate willingness and flexibility in working differing time shifts to accommodate customer needs.
- Exemplify the Delta Values of Service, Integrity, Creativity, and Excellence.
Qualifications
- Associates or Bachelor's Degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, military equivalent, or related work experience.
- 1-2 years of experience in maintenance and repair of medical imaging equipment is a plus.
- Strong mechanical and technical aptitude.
- Strong comprehension of PC troubleshooting with an emphasis on networking.
- Proficient in the use of tools and test equipment.
- Work well in both individual and team settings.
- Possess a valid driver's license with a good driving record.
- Capable of lifting, pushing, and pulling up to 50 lbs.
- Able to travel and work overnights when needed.
