SUMMARY
Quality Inspectors are responsible for ensuring that parts are being produced and shipped according to internal and customer specifications.
Duties may include the review of raw materials, work in process (WIP), processes, and finished products within Manufacturing Operations (from Receiving to Shipping) to ensure that our customer receives consistent and reliable products.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
Conduct/verify first piece inspections, bi-hourly quality inspections/in-process audits, and dock audits to ensure all production processes are being followed and product is being produced, packaged, and shipped according to internal and customer specifications.
Conducts incoming inspection of raw materials and documents results
Follows Job Releases for new jobs and revisions throughout the mold build process to ensure work has been completed and documented prior to shipment. Complete Pre-shipment inspections.
Works with Quality Manager and Program Management to determine quality needs for mold build operations
Document all inspections and findings on appropriate forms and in ERP system.
Places nonconforming material on hold and quarantine all suspect product
Distribute EOS (End of Shift) reports via email to production team and management daily.
Understands and assists in training/communication of quality requirements, processes, work instructions, packaging instructions, visual aids, quality alerts, and deviations.
Compare product to master samples, color chips, visual aids, production spec sheets, and other samples to verify conformance to internal and customer quality standards.
Gives direction, guidance, and feedback to operators in regard to quality concerns
Proceed with regular assignments with minimum supervision and direction; instructions and guidance provided on new work, variations, unusual operating conditions and difficulties.
Collects samples and data for PPAP when necessary
