Job Summary: Marine Operations Manager
The Marine Operations Manager coordinates and directs vessel and barge operations, terminal inventory planning, and supply modeling, through direct employee supervision, safety, and regulatory compliance.
Forecasts and manages internal and external terminal and vessel inventory.
Builds and manages supply and transportation planning and budget models.
Schedules and determines logistics of all marine assets to maximize efficiency.
Manages all marine vessels from a compliance, operational, and cost perspective.
Manages marine and shoreside team members.
Organizes all operational functions of tanker, tug, barge charters, and sub-charters.
Facilitates tanker operations with vessel crew, inspectors, and agents.
Completes regulatory EPA and EIA testing and reporting.
Completes import and export reporting and tax requirements.
Manages cargo quality standards and ensures compliance.
Coordinates all vendor support for marine related operations.
Assists in crew management at terminal sites for barge and tanker operations.
Builts relationships with marine partners.
Coordinates with customers to facilitate barge deliveries.
Arranges cargo inspector nomination, sampling, and testing.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree
- Minimum of 3 years in marine petroleum logistics and/or marine operations preferred
- Attention to detail and accuracy in handling customer accounts and orders
