We’re seeking a CNC Shop Operations Manager to lead our CNC shop operations, oversee inventory distribution, and implement systems to achieve ISO 9000 compliance. You’ll manage CNC programming and machine setups, ensure quality control for aerospace certifications, and streamline our inventory of 10,000 SKUs. Key Responsibilities
- CNC Shop Management:
- Oversee daily operations of the CNC shop, including programming, machine setup, and maintenance of advanced CNC equipment.
- Ensure production meets quality and efficiency standards for aerospace, semiconductor, and automotive clients.
- ISO 9000 Compliance:
- Re-systemize manufacturing and inventory distribution processes to achieve and maintain ISO 9000 quality control standards.
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure compliance with aerospace certification requirements.
- Inventory Distribution:
- Manage and track 10,000 SKUs of industrial and performance plastics inventory, ensuring accuracy and compliance with aerospace standards.
- Optimize inventory systems to support wholesale distribution and manufacturing needs.
- Operational Leadership:
- Partner with the owner to take control of general business systems, including process improvements and operational workflows.
- Collaborate on strategic initiatives to drive company growth and scalability.
- Quality Control and Reporting:
- Monitor production quality, troubleshoot issues, and implement corrective actions to meet client specifications.
- Provide input on financial statements by ensuring operational data aligns with business goals (e.g., cost tracking, production metrics).
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a CNC Operator or Manager, with expertise in CNC programming and machine setup.
- Strong understanding of ISO 9000 quality control standards and experience implementing them in manufacturing and distribution settings.
- Familiarity with inventory management, ideally in a high-SKU environment (experience with aerospace certifications is a plus).
- Leadership skills with the ability to manage operations, drive process improvements, and partner with company leadership.
- Basic knowledge of financial systems (e.g., job costing, cost tracking) or willingness to learn with AI tool support.
- Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in aerospace, semiconductor, or automotive manufacturing.
