Job Summary
A multi-national family-owned manufacturer based in Milwaukee is looking for an Assistant Controller to be an integral member of the finance department with the expectation of growth into a full leadership role as a member of the management team.
Under the direction of the Corporate Controller, the Assistant Controller will participate in all aspects of financial and cost accounting for both the domestic and Vietnamese divisions, provide operational assistance and guidance to all other departments in the company as needed, and obtain a thorough understanding of all tasks performed by members of the finance team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
This list of duties and responsibilities is not all-inclusive and will likely be expanded as the Assistant Controller builds a knowledge of the organization and gains operational experience.
- Input and maintain standard costs.
- Analyze cost variances (job costing, material usage, labor usage, material purchase price).
- Prepare period closing journal entries.
- Perform ongoing G/L account and product line margin analysis.
- Develop and maintain intercompany pricing models between all operational divisions (domestic and Vietnam).
- Review monthly financial statements (In US GAAP) from the Vietnam Division.
- Provide ongoing guidance and assistance to the finance team at the Vietnam division.
- Perform intercompany reconciliations between the US divisions and Vietnam.
- Monitor and review intercompany commission and royalty income from international sales.
- Develop budget data to assist with preparation of annual divisional operating budgets.
- Assist in the annual financial, employee benefits, and transfer pricing audits.
- Prepare 1099’s and other tax related compliance.
- Maintain and monitor the corporate credit card program.
- Provide backup for A/P, A/R, ADP payroll, divisional controller, insurance, and corporate level duties and obtain core competencies in each of these areas.
- Assist in various ERP software upgrades.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education and/or Experience
· Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
· Five or more years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
· Experience with ERP and payroll applications; Syteline and ADP experience a plus.
· CPA and/or CMA certification is preferred but not required.
Salary : $90,000 - $95,000
