Summary
The Staff accountant is a key member of the site accounting team. This role is responsible for overseeing and managing all financial transactions and accounting activities, including financial reporting, cost analysis, and following defined internal controls.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities

- Financial record keeping of monthly transactions, including accurate accounting of accruals, depreciation, amortization, inventory transactions, and payroll entries.
- Assist in validating all accounting activities including labor distribution, inventories, general receipts, scrap, rework, accounts payable, closed order variances, fixed assets transaction and journal entries.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and Company policies by following proper controls, reconciling general ledger accounts, and monitoring data integrity.
- Collaborate with Division Controller to identify opportunities for improved efficiency and offer recommendations for improvement.
- Active management of Account Receivables and collections of past due balances.
- Month end variance reporting and gap analysis to forecasted financial performance
- Assist in the preparation of annual plans/budgets including functional project plans, functional budgets, balance sheet, income statement and statement of cash flow.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field from an accredited four-year college or university required; MBA or professional accounting certification a plus.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment with increasing management and supervisory responsibility required.
- Full Cycle AP/AR Cash Receipt and Cash Disbursement experience
