What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Project Manager position at Delve?

As a Senior Project Manager at Delve, you will lead multi-disciplinary projects from inception through production handoff, spanning strategy, design, and testing. Your work will encompass physical products, strategic projects, and fully digital projects across consumer goods, commercial products, and medical devices. By applying design thinking and product development best practices, you will drive successful project outcomes and establish a strong track record of delivery. You'll guide the integration of work by our engineers, designers, and researchers cultivating collaboration, balancing trade-offs, and helping ensure that we create meaningful solutions to product design challenges. An ideal candidate is comfortable with both the big picture and the details, and excited about the opportunity to help Delve project teams continue to grow and improve their capabilities.

This position is a hybrid role based in our Philadelphia studio.

Responsibilities

Be the connection point between the project team and client. Work in collaboration with a Technical Lead or other senior team member to run client projects.
Work with Technical Lead to define product requirements and track adherence to requirements.
Identify potential change of scope issues as they arise and communicate them to the team, account management, and the client.
Create proposals and budgets and manage schedules of internal and external support. Document all decisions, and track action items.
Maintain responsibility for project data accuracy and organization for internal project management database and server.
Regularly review project budget status with Account Manager and Technical Lead and request resources to complete project work as necessary
Oversee and support the planning / preparation of presentation materials, in cooperation with Technical Lead and other team members.
Work with Technical Lead to ensure deliverables are met per client expectations and proposals
Work with studio account directors and client partners to ensure project health across project financials, work quality and internal and client team's happiness.
Understand our company values and their impact on the product design process.

Requirements

7 years' experience in Project Management, Product Management, Engineering Program Management, and / or other client-facing roles.

Experience in a professional services environment.

Experience planning and maintaining client projects from start to finish

Well-versed and knowledgeable about MS Excel, MS Project, Smartsheet, and internal project management systems

Familiarity with and / or interest in consulting environments and how they work

Preferred Experience

You have 5 years of experience in electromechanical project development

You have experience in full lifecycle project management strategy, design, physical and digital product innovation and prototyping.

You have a proven track record in medical device development with a strong understanding of ISO-13485, IEC 62304, ISO 14971 and IEC 60601.

You want to be deeply immersed in the product development process and are willing to educate yourself as needed to truly understand the nature of client work. You like to explore new territories and learn from others.
