Clearance
Requirement: **Active DOE Q clearance required.
Education: A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in an engineering or related technical discipline is required. An advanced degree is preferred. Successful candidate must possess and maintain registration as a Project Management Professional.
This position is part of the DeMase Senior Leadership Team and provides leadership for DeMase Project Management/Project Controls contracts and activities. Also responsible for performing project management activities, including scheduling and project controls tasks for DeMase clients. This position reports directly to the DeMase Chief Operations Officer.
Specific Experience and Responsibilities:
- Experienced as a senior project manager supporting both federal and commercial clients.
- Able to staff and manage a team of project management and project controls specialists to support federal government and commercial projects.
- Able to establish and integrate EVMS systems for major projects (must understand EIA 748 and be able to implement EIA guidelines).
- Leads development of EVMS tools for Life Cycle and Contract Performance Baseline (including WBS dictionaries, risk register, etc.) for large complex Engineering, Technical, and Scientific Projects under DOE 413.3B and related DOE/GAO guides for risk, scheduling, estimating, etc.
- Experienced in project performance status reporting (cost-schedule variance, technical issues, etc.).
- Able to establish and maintain the Baseline Change control system and lead the development of change proposals.
- Understands client’s systems and needs (gap analysis) and develops solutions.
- Able to lead the development of technical and cost proposals for new tasks or contracts in the Project Management business area.
- Able to meet with prospective clients and persuasively communicate a value proposition to secure new work.
- Responsible for staffing and managing work in the Project Management business area.
- Responsible for staff performance and development.
- Responsible for successful DeMase performance on all assigned contracts, projects, and tasks.
Required Skills:
- Must be an expert-level user of standard project management tools, including Microsoft Project and Primavera P6.
* **At least 10 years of experience in Project Management and Project Controls in the federal sector (including experience supporting U.S. Department of Energy projects).
- Demonstrated technical skills in Project Management including familiarity with DOE, NRC, and GAO requirements and expectations.
- Leadership experience in staffing and managing project management tasks.
- Demonstrated experience and success in executing large complex projects.
Ability to communicate clearly verbally and in writing plus advanced presentation skills are required. High-level proficiency in Microsoft software, including Word, Excel, and Power Point is essential.
Must be able to work well and lead in a team-oriented environment.
Job Location/Travel: Work location is flexible. Periodic travel to client sites is required.
