What You’ll Do:

As our Printing Supervisor, you’ll take the lead on all day-to-day printing operations—driving quality, efficiency, and team performance. Key responsibilities include:

  • Team Leadership: Supervise, mentor, and motivate a team of 8–10 printing professionals. Provide guidance and set clear expectations to ensure top-quality output and continuous improvement.
  • Hands-On Supervision: Bring your expert knowledge of print production to the floor—working alongside your team, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring standards are met.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with the Production Supervisor, Process Engineer, Estimator, Shipping, and Receiving to coordinate workflow and meet production goals.
  • Training & Development: Identify skill gaps, provide ongoing training, and foster professional growth for team members.
  • Process Improvement: Monitor equipment and supplies, streamline workflows, and implement changes to minimize downtime and boost efficiency.
  • Product Innovation: Contribute to new product development and enhancements of current offerings.
  • Budget Oversight: Manage your department’s budget, making cost-effective decisions without compromising quality.
  • Safety Focus: Maintain a safe working environment through regular inspections, adherence to protocols, and safety training.
  • Special Projects: Lead initiatives related to continuous improvement, training, and other strategic goals.

What You Bring:

  • 5 years of hands-on experience in printing operations, including a deep understanding of printing processes and workflows.
  • Expertise in front-end file prep (pre-press), color and substrate matching, and production setup.
  • Familiarity with flatbed printers and digital routers.
  • Strong leadership background with direct supervisory experience in a high-volume production environment—confident in coaching, team building, and managing competing priorities.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally to achieve results.
  • A strong focus on safety, efficiency, and quality.
  • Problem-solving mindset and a drive for continuous improvement.

Additional Details:

  • Location: Onsite at our Value Center in DeForest, Wisconsin
  • Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:30 a.m.–3:00 p.m.
  • Reports To: Department Manager
  • Salary: $60,000–$80,000 annually
  • Interview Process: Starts with a phone screen with HR to discuss the role, your experience, salary expectations, and next steps.
