Position Description : The Human Resources Generalist will play a key role in managing the day-to-day HR operations, including employee relations, recruitment, compliance, and policy implementation. This position requires a professional who can handle a wide range of HR functions, ensuring smooth operations across departments. The HR Generalist will support both employees and management, fostering a positive work environment and helping the company meet its goals through effective HR practices.
Key Responsibilities :
Employee Relations : Act as the first point of contact for employees regarding HR-related inquiries, including benefits, policies, and procedures.
Recruitment & Onboarding : Manage the full recruitment cycle, including job postings, screening candidates, scheduling interviews, and conducting background checks. Facilitate new hire onboarding, ensuring a seamless experience for new employees.
Compliance & Policies : Ensure the company complies with all federal, state, and local employment laws. Help update and enforce company policies and procedures.
Benefits Administration : Assist in administering employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off. Educate employees on their benefits and ensure accurate enrollment.
Payroll Support : Collaborate with the finance team to ensure timely and accurate payroll processing. Address payroll-related questions and issues as they arise.
Performance Management : Support the performance review process by helping managers set goals, providing feedback, and addressing any employee performance issues.
Training & Development : Help coordinate and facilitate employee training sessions and professional development programs.
HR Reporting : Maintain accurate employee records and generate reports for management regarding turnover, benefits usage, and other key HR metrics.
Employee Engagement : Develop and implement initiatives to promote employee satisfaction, including organizing company events, wellness programs, and other engagement activities.
Conflict Resolution : Mediate and resolve employee conflicts in a fair and timely manner, escalating issues to management as needed.
HR Projects : Assist in various HR projects, such as implementing new HR software, updating the employee handbook, and rolling out diversity and inclusion initiatives.
Key Qualifications :
Education : Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience : 2-4 years of experience in a Human Resources role, preferably as a generalist or in multiple HR functions.
Knowledge : Strong understanding of federal and state employment laws, including FMLA, FLSA, ADA, and EEO.
Communication Skills : Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
Interpersonal Skills : Strong relationship-building skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and interact effectively with all levels of employees.
Organization & Time Management : Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines, with attention to detail.
