What are the responsibilities and job description for the Finance Operations Coordinator position at Democratic National Committee?
The Finance/Fundraising Operations Coordinator position is based in Washington, DC and reports to the Director of Finance Operations. The Finance Operations Coordinator works closely with the Director of Finance Operations, the National Finance Director(s), and Regional/Coalition Finance Directors to track major donor daily, monthly, quarterly, and yearly goals and projections, as well as track and maintain historical knowledge and reference of the team’s goals. The Finance Operations Coordinator works closely with the team to track and manage event specific budgets, as well as manage the relationship with outside vendors including but not limited to NGP.
In this position you will:
- Manage and maintain finance month and quarterly goals for the department
- Pull reports in NGP to track departments fundraising numbers in daily, weekly, and monthly updates
- Oversee major donor event budgets
- Coordinate with internal DNC departments on behalf of the finance team
- Support the Director of Finance Operations as needed
- Other duties as assigned to support the department and the DNC's mission
What we will look for :
- Bachelor’s degree in related field required, or equivalent work experience
- 3 to 4 years of experience in fundraising or accounting, preferably in the political campaign finance field
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Detail oriented and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Proficient in Google Suite
- Demonstrated working knowledge of pulling reports in NGP database
- Experience managing finance events and staffing principals is a plus
- Travel may be required
- Flexibility to travel and work occasional evenings and weekends
$61,800 - $61,800 a year
The starting salary for the Finance Operations Coordinator position is $61,800, on an annualized basis, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
This is a full-time, non-exempt position, which means you will be eligible for overtime pay for hours worked in excess of 40 in a given workweek. This position is in the bargaining unit represented by SEIU Local-500
