Route Service Representative (4-Day Workweek)

Position Overview: We are looking for a motivated and customer-focused Route Service Representative to join our team servicing the Towson and Owings Mills areas. In this role, you will be responsible for selling and delivering our products to businesses in the Baltimore area, including Maryland, Virginia, and Washington, D.C. You will build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers while actively seeking out new opportunities to grow our customer base. Enjoy daytime routes scheduled from Monday to Friday, offering a full-time position with a 4-day work week (6:00 am to 4:30 pm). Experience the flexibility of weekends and holidays off, allowing for personal and family time. Join us in providing outstanding service to our valued customers.

What You'll Do

• Drive Sales and Service Excellence: Navigate your designated route in the Towson and Owings Mills areas, servicing existing customers, and introducing innovative product solutions to enhance their businesses. Utilize your customer service and sales skills to organically expand your route, identifying opportunities to upsell and cross-sell products and services.
• Strategic Inventory Management: Maintain accurate invoice inventories and conduct regular inventory audits to ensure consistency and reliability. Identify additional products and services that can bring added value to our customers, presenting these opportunities during customer interactions. Proactively negotiate service agreement renewals with customers to solidify long-term partnerships and drive revenue growth.
• Safety and Compliance: Execute your responsibilities with the utmost professionalism and adherence to safety standards and driving regulations. Ensure compliance while representing Dempsey Uniform on the road.
• Act as a Brand Ambassador: Represent Dempsey Uniform with professionalism and integrity at all times.

QualificationsMinimum age requirement: 22 years for vehicle insurance purposesValid driver’s license in good standing with a clean recordMust meet pre-employment DOT physical requirementsPhysical capability to lift up to 75 pounds and carry products into and out of customers' locationsExceptional customer service skills, problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to build rapport and trust with clientsAbility to meet our appearance and dress code policyHigh school diploma or equivalent required, college degree preferred; additional education or training in sales or business is a plus.
