Your Potential Role : Denark has an opening for an experienced Project Superintendent , who will provide overall field management and administration to field employees, subcontractors and suppliers.
- Oversees total project field effort to ensure the highest quality, appropriate personnel, budget and schedule are met.
- Ensure all company, department, and technical policies, procedures, standards, etc. are adhered to.
- Interpret policies as required.
- Assists with implementation and interpretation of safety programs. Assists in the development of supervision training programs.
- Schedules, coordinates and supervises employees, subcontractors and all construction equipment on assigned project(s).
- Initiates work schedules for maximum productivity of work.
- Reviews drawings and specifications routinely.
- Ensures subcontractors and suppliers are complying to specifications and codes.
- Documents changes made by the architect / owner and gets approval from project manager on a timely basis.
- Schedules all inspections and coordinates testing as required.
- Acts as the main safety representative on assigned projects.
- Reports all accidents and initiates first-report paperwork.
- Attend company training / seminars as required by supervisor.
- Assists Senior Project Superintendent in development of the construction schedule.
- Solicits potential future employees through contacts in the industry.
- Reviews construction schedule, Pay Requests and job cost reports with Project Manager.
- Sets up job trailer including; temporary power, telephone, toilet, dumpster and water.
- Schedules materials and suppliers.
- Reports the need for a change in manpower requirements in complying with established schedules.
- Performs initial screening for prospective field employees when requested by the Senior Project Superintendent.
- Perform additional assignments per supervisor’s direction.
