Chief Estimator/Project Manager

Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Chief Estimator to join our company. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial/residential construction estimating and project management, with a strong ability to price projects accurately. This role requires a deep understanding of construction site operations and the ability to negotiate effectively with various stakeholders. The Chief Estimator will play a crucial role in ensuring cost control and delivering projects within budget while maintaining high-quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed cost estimates for construction projects, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to define project scopes and requirements.
• Build and price estimates using past field experience or other
• Conduct thorough analysis of project plans, specifications, and other documents to prepare accurate estimates.
• Negotiate pricing with subcontractors and suppliers to achieve the best value for the company.
• Monitor project costs throughout the lifecycle to ensure adherence to budgetary constraints.
• Efficiently communicate information to field managers and office managers in a timely manner
• Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and techniques to enhance estimating practices.
• Delegate strict schedules to crews

Qualifications

• Proven experience in construction estimating
• Strong understanding of cost control principles and practices in the construction industry.
• Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to build relationships with contractors and suppliers.
• Solid project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills, ensuring accuracy in all estimates.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective collaboration across teams.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
