Junior Designer

Dennis Kirk, Inc. is seeking to hire a Jr. Designer to join our Marketing Department. The Junior Designer will work closely with the Senior Designer, and will report to the Director of Marketing and Advertising. This job is full-time, working onsite out of our office in Forest Lake, MN.

What we are looking for:

This role is perfect for someone who has recently entered the workforce as a designer, eager to learn, and excited to contribute to a variety of creative projects. An interest in powersports is great, but not necessary. Our desire is to bring someone on board who:

• Know your Craft - Is efficient at using Adobe Tools for Design work, including Photoshop and InDesign, with a strong understanding of Design concepts.
• Can take direction and critique - following the lead of our Sr. Designer
• Is communicative - asking questions, keeping the team informed to status updates, etc.
• Organized - can follow the structure and workflow of the department, keeping us effective and efficient.
• Can handle multiple projects at once, and adjust on the fly to the needs of the company.

The Tasks this role will be doing:

The Jr. Designer is a support role to the Sr Designer, and at times, our videographer. Similar to a production artist, here are a few of the jobs you would be expected to do:

• Create email content for our email strategy using templates provided by Sr Designer
• Create Social Media Designed content as our social strategy calls for it
• Assist in developing promotional material for sales and promos - both digital and print
• Resize Design work as needed for various platforms.
• Create overlays for use in video projects.
• Other tasks in the design sector as they come/are needed.

Pay: $35,000.00 - $40,000.00 per year
