Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and professional Host/Host to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, setting the tone for their dining experience. This role requires excellent communication skills, a warm demeanor, and a passion for hospitality. As a Host/Host, you will manage reservations, greet guests, and ensure a seamless flow of service in our restaurant.
Duties
- Greet and welcome guests as they arrive with a friendly and positive attitude.
- Manage the seating chart and coordinate with servers to optimize table turnover.
- Assist guests with reservations and provide information about menu offerings.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and management regarding guest needs.
- Handle phone inquiries with professionalism, utilizing proper phone etiquette.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand and waiting area.
- Provide exceptional guest services by addressing any concerns or special requests.
- Familiarize yourself with the Aloha POS system to assist in managing reservations.
Experience
- Previous experience in hospitality or guest relations is preferred but not required.
- Strong customer service skills with an emphasis on communication and interpersonal relations.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure while managing multiple tasks efficiently.
- Experience with POS systems, particularly Aloha POS, is a plus but not mandatory.
- A genuine desire to help others and create memorable dining experiences for guests.
