We offer a flexible work environment with a Dentist Anesthesiologist and office dental team present at all times. As an Anesthesia Assistant, you will provide direct support to the anesthesiologist during patient care, working closely with healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional and comprehensive anesthesia care.
The ideal candidate will have prior experience in direct patient care, such as a Paramedic, EMT, or Nurse, with skills in IV placement, airway management, and patient monitoring. We also require attention to detail in patient monitoring and medical charting.
Certifications include Current BLS and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS). Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) is strongly preferred but not required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct pre-procedural interviews with patients and/or their parent/guardian to obtain required and relevant history.
- Assist anesthesiologist with perioperative patient care, including induction, maintenance, and emergence from an anesthetic.
- Accurate documentation of patient status during procedures.
- Assistance with equipment loading and unloading from office locations.
- Assist with treatment room turnover before and after patient care.
- Monitor patients during recovery and provide post-procedure care instructions.
- Compliance with HIPPA and Infection Control standards.
