Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Dental Insurance Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth processing of insurance claims and maintaining accurate dental records. This position requires a strong understanding of dental coding, insurance verification, and compliance with HIPAA regulations. The Insurance Coordinator will work closely with both patients and healthcare providers to facilitate efficient communication and resolution of insurance-related issues. This position offers PTO and a full benefits package. The hours are Monday-Thursday 7:45am-5pm.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities• Verify patient insurance coverage and benefits prior to appointments.• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of managed dental care policies and procedures.• Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations in all aspects of patient information handling.• Manage medical records effectively, ensuring they are complete and accurate.• Communicate with patients regarding their insurance status, coverage options, and any outstanding balances.• Other administrative duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Experience working in a dental health-care office
- Knowledge of insurance plans (HMO/PPO)
- Experience answering telephone
- Must have exceptional customer service skills
