- Utilize ICD-9 coding for accurate billing and coding of services rendered.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to gather necessary information for insurance claims.
- Assist patients with inquiries regarding their insurance coverage and claims status.
- Stay updated on managed care policies and changes in insurance regulations.
- Support the administrative team in maintaining organized patient files and documentation.
Skills
- Proficient knowledge of medical terminology and coding practices, including ICD-9.
- Experience in managed care environments is preferred.
- Strong understanding of insurance verification processes.
- Familiarity with medical records management systems.
- Ability to work effectively in dental office settings.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with patients, providers, and insurance companies.
