Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our practice at Dental Health Center. Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and available.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation and patient records, including medical history and treatment plans.
- Perform infection control procedures, adhering to aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as directed by the dentist.
- Monitor and record vital signs of patients prior to, during, and after treatment.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
- Manage appointment scheduling and patient flow to optimize office efficiency.
- Assist with pediatric patients, providing a comforting presence during their visits.
- Support the dentist with prosthodontic procedures as needed, including the preparation of materials.
- Utilize four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance workflow during procedures.
Requirements
- Knowledge of anatomy relevant to dental practice and familiarity with dental terminology.
- Experience or training in medical coding is a plus but not required.
- Understanding of infection control protocols and aseptic techniques is essential.
- Ability to perform basic vital sign assessments for patients.
- Previous experience in pediatrics is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for accurate documentation.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with patients and team members.

Pay: $21.00 - $22.00 per hour
