Insurance Coordinator
Duties:
- Verify insurance coverage and eligibility for patients. MUST be knowledgeable with
Medicare, Medicaid, PPOs and Traditional insurances. MUST have dental experience.
- Review and interpret medical records to ensure accurate coding and billing
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines
- Communicate with insurance companies to resolve claim issues or denials
- Provide support to medical staff regarding insurance-related inquiries
- Update patient information in the electronic health record system
- Assist with scheduling appointments and managing patient records
Skills:
- Proficient in medical office procedures and protocols
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Familiarity with dental office operations is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and documentation
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Experience with insurance verification and claims processing
- Understanding of managed care plans and insurance billing procedures
