Overview
We provide remote front office services to 60 dental practices around the country from our office location in Graniteville, SC . As our client list grows, so also we need to grow our local team.
32-40 hours per week, no weekends, 11 paid holidays, PTO and the opportunity to do what you do best without the interruption of checking patients in or out, answering the phone or responding to clinical team members for the umpteenth time about whether an FMX is available for today's visit!
You will work with an integrated team whose collective responsibilities include: making appropriate claims attachments, sending electronic claims, posting paper check and electronic payments, following up on insurance A/R, and providing customer service to the clients we serve. There are no insurance verification responsibilities for this role.
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Billing Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in dental billing and collections, with an understanding of dental coding and treatment protocols. This role is crucial for ensuring accurate billing processes and maintaining the financial health of the clients we serve.
Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the billing process for dental services rendered, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.
- Prepare, review, and submit claims to insurance companies, including Medicare, utilizing knowledge of CDT coding.
- Follow up on outstanding claims and manage insurance accounts receivable (no patient receivables) to ensure timely payments.
- Communicate effectively with clients to create seamless cooperation in getting claims submitted and paid as efficiently as possible.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in dental billing and claims resolution.
- Strong understanding of dental terminology and current CDT codes.
- Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as to coordinate the work of a billing team.
- Proficient in at least two of the following: Eaglesoft, Dentrix, Curve, Opendental, Denticon, Dentrix Ascend, Fuse, or SoftDent.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with clients, insurance companies, and healthcare providers.
