Responsibilities
- Greet patients and visitors warmly, ensuring a positive first impression of the office.
- Manage incoming calls, schedule appointments, and provide information regarding services offered.
- Perform insurance verification and assist patients with understanding their coverage options.
- Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with privacy regulations.
- Utilize electronic health record systems such as Meditech and Epic for data entry and retrieval.
- Assist with administrative tasks including filing, data entry, and office management duties.
- Coordinate with dental office staff to ensure seamless patient flow and communication.
- Support medical coding processes as needed to ensure proper billing procedures are followed.
Requirements
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is required.
- Previous experience in a medical or dental office setting is preferred.
- Familiarity with insurance verification processes and medical records management.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a busy environment.
- Proficient in using computerized systems for scheduling and record keeping (experience with Eaglesoft or Dentrix is a plus).
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with patients and staff.
- Knowledge of medical coding is advantageous but not mandatory.
