Part-time Shelter Services Specialist to provide onsite coverage at our agency emergency shelters serving survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault. Responsibilities:
- Provide supportive services to shelter residents, addressing their immediate and basic needs.
- Assist with crisis intervention via telephone with crisis line callers and face-to-face with shelter residents.
- Coordinate transportation to shelter for eligible individuals and dispatch Survivor Advocates to Denton County Hospitals as needed.
- Collect and report statistical data reflecting services provided and outcomes.
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 1-2 years of experience in a related field, preferably in a residential setting.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Office applications such as Word and Excel.
