What are the responsibilities and job description for the Childcare Provider position at Denton Unitarian Universalist Fellowship?
Childcare attendants work two hours in the church nursery as scheduled offering a welcoming and nurturing environment for children and parents.
Responsibilities:
- Work on Sundays from approximately 9:30am to 11:30pm as scheduled and other dates as available.
- Understand and comply with protocols and procedures.
- Submit completed time sheets on the day of work.
- Interact with children and parents, helping to create a welcoming, nurturing, and safe environment.
- Tidying and cleaning of the nursery room and connected bathroom, as needed.
Accountability:
This position reports to the Lead Teacher. There will be a performance reviewannually. Performance reviews are focused on goal setting and dialogue about program effectiveness.
Qualifications:
- Experience working with infants and young children in an educational and/or religious education setting.
- Commitment to Unitarian Universalist values.
- Able to work respectfully with children and parents of diverse ethnicity, abilities, religious backgrounds, spiritual beliefs, sexual orientations, and gender identities.
- Strong interpersonal skills and oral communication skills.
- Must be 18 years old
Compensation and Hours:
This position is part-time. Weekly hours vary based on the program needs and staff scheduling. Childcare staff are compensated at an hourly rate of $12.00-14.00 per hour. Compensation is paid monthly.
