Responsibilities and practice
Dentons US LLP is seeking an associate with 2-4 years of legal experience to join our thriving Health Care practice. Ideal candidates should have Medicare and Medicaid compliance and reimbursement experience, including prior experience working with providers such as hospitals or health care systems and managed care plans on Medicare, Medicaid, and/or other federal and state health care regulatory issues. The person hired for this position will work closely with our partners and associates to support the practice by assuming such responsibilities as:
- Advising health care clients in the areas of Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement and related compliance issues, including supplemental payment programs, value-based purchasing models and alternative payment arrangements.
- Advising health care clients, including providers and/or health plans, in areas of Medicare and/or Medicaid managed care regulatory compliance and contracting issues
- Advising on applicable federal and state legislative, regulatory, and policy developments in the health care space
- Given the breadth of the Dentons Health Care practice, a person hired for this position may also be asked to work in the following areas (and experience is helpful):
- Advising health care clients in the areas of business strategy and transactions
- Assisting health care organizations with the investigation of potential compliance issues and/or alleged instances of fraud, waste, or abuse
- Advising health care providers and plans with respect to physician contracting, HIPAA compliance, accountable care organizations, health care information technology and data, and corporate governance and tax exemption issues.

Pursuant with state laws, the salary ranges for this position are listed below and will be based on experience.
- Chicago: $235,000 - $280,000
- Los Angeles: $235,000 - $280,000
- New York: $235,000 - $310,000
- Oakland: $235,000 - $280,000
- San Francisco: $235,000 - $280,000
- Washington, DC: $235,000 - $310,000
Based on years of experience, Dentons US LLP associates may have a title of Associate, Managing Associate, or Senior Managing Associate. Dentons US LLP offers a competitive salary and benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401k, short-term/long-term disability, life insurance, tuition reimbursement, paid time off, paid holidays and discretionary bonuses.
