Overview
The Vice President, Growth orchestrates the New Business lifecycle, from vetting new opportunities, making the case to go/no-go to leadership, building the right team, developing the winning theme and pitch story, and ensuring that all work from start to finish is on brief. Importantly, you're also responsible for contributing to strategies and plans to close the deal in a way that supports agency and network financial needs.
You have experience developing new business and a desire to keep teams prepared and organized around our pitch cycles. You understand what is needed for and from the process and how to align many different workstreams to deliver the winning formula. You have a gift for seeing and keeping that winning rhythm and an drive to determine the best shape and frame for each situation and team.
You will harmonize the pitch team from Day One. You will assign roles and responsibilities within your team by embracing and empowering your team members' strengths, diverse backgrounds, interests, and learning styles to sustain a high-performing Media Growth Team that thrives internally and delivers positive results for its internal stakeholders and clients.
You will report to our EVP, Growth.
Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute on the growth strategy for a growth team focused on new logo and cross/up-sell to existing clients
  • Direct and bring new thinking, ideas to all of the agency's new business activity for the US and assist the CGO and CEO with all relevant global needs
  • Ensure coordination with multiple markets and lines of business to grow company revenue
  • Partner with global team including Carat and dentsuX on global pitches and any other global infrastructure needs
  • Assess agency positioning within the marketplace and create business development strategy to position the agency within the industry
  • You will oversee demand generation, account growth planning and proactive targeting strategy for driving pipe volume
  • Lead the development of winning RFI/RPFs
  • Develop and leverage strong working relationships with leadership to align on targeted services, strong value propositions, pricing, process and support structure to drive growth
  • Define budget needs for sales resources and subsequent tools and support required to generate and win new business
  • Ensure your team's work coincides with Media Growth's overarching team brand, strategy, processes, and methodology.
  • Manage the day-to-day Growth Team, ensuring the team is running the pitch process to agency expectations and that the team is achieving designated tasks daily (such as backgrounders, database updates)
  • You will ensure the team is tracking towards long-term department goals and that team members are clear on personal growth goals and tracking towards them.
  • You are the main contact for consultant/client relationships throughout the pitch process
  • Maintain strong working relationships with influencers (i.e. consultants, analysts, communications teams, etc)
  • Partner with Marketing regarding PR on announcements and other marketing efforts related to New Business
Qualifications
  • Minimum 10 years experience working in digital marketing, media, or ad-tech industries and/or client-side marketing background with specific project/process management experience
  • Minimum 6 years experience working in new business processes and best practices
  • Been part of a successful pitch team within the last eighteen months
  • Managerial experience, for your team, agency teams, and agency/network leadership
  • Experience negotiating staffing and compensation plans
  • Proficiency in new business processes and best practices
  • Proficiency with MS Teams,
    Salesforce.com
    , project management tools, and concept
Additional Information
The annual salary range for this position is $136,850 - $182,850/year. Placement within the salary range is based on a variety of factors, including relevant experience, knowledge, skills, and other factors permitted by law.
