Job Summary: The Operations Intern is responsible for assisting in a variety of areas within the Operations Department. This position will assist with Facility Operations, Training Camp, Facility Maintenance, Special Events, and Team Logistics.
Duties & Responsibilities
Assist with Facility Operations by:
- Assisting Operations Assistant with all loading dock and mail room responsibilities
- Giving tours to special guests
- Assisting with the coordination and management of facility vendors
- Maintaining inventory and stocking supplies in copy rooms
- Conducting regular facility walks to seek out areas of improvement
- Supporting with other duties as needed
Assist with Training Camp by:
- Assisting with all day-to-day training camp operations
- Assisting in communication between Broncos Operations staff and the team’s training camp hotel
- Assisting with the execution of hosting up to 1,000 fans daily at camp by setting up and tearing down facilities used, assisting with parking and guest experience, conducting inspections, facilitating post-practice autograph sessions, and supporting other duties as needed
Assist with Facility Maintenance by:
- Assisting with projects such as changing light bulbs, hanging pictures, moving furniture, adjusting clocks, shoveling snow, etc.
- Helping with general upkeep of all buildings
- Working with vendors and contractors
- Providing assistance to the maintenance team with other duties as needed
Assist with Special Events by:
- Assisting with proper set-up and tear-down for each event
- Act as the day of event point of contact for booked events as needed
- Manage at least one event from the booking process thru the conclusion of the event
Assist with Team Logistics by:
- Working home games by conducting player check ins and providing sideline support as needed
- Setting up TSA for away game travel
- Assisting with set up for road games including logistics and credentialing
Contributes to the team effort by performing other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree
- Experience working for a pro or collegiate program
Preferred Skills & Ability
- Interest in working in professional sports
- Prior facility operations experience
- Maintain a flexible work schedule, including long hours, weekends, evenings, and early mornings
- Attention to detail
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
- Have excellent communication skills and ability to follow directions
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well with others
- Identify and resolve problems in a timely manner
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Ability to carry out multiple tasks simultaneously and achieve results on a deadline
- An eagerness to learn and contribute in multiple areas
In accordance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the expected salary for this position is $18.81/hour.
