What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cannabis Technician position at Denver Greens?
Denver Greens is seeking a full-time Cannabis Technician to start right away in our state-of-the-art grow in southwest Denver (Santa Fe and Dartmouth). This role will work Monday through Friday, 7:30am - 4:00pm. The Cannabis Technician is a unique hybrid role that encompasses responsibilities in both the cultivation and post-production departments. This individual will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and health of our cannabis plants throughout their lifecycle and in preparing the final products for market.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
As needed, the Cannabis Technician will work in both Cultivation and Post-Production.
Cultivation Responsibilities:
- Assists with various stages of cannabis cultivation, including propagation, vegetative growth, flowering and harvest.
- Maintain garden health through routine monitoring and basic care tasks, such as watering and pruning.
- Follow standard operating procedures for crop scheduling and ensure adherence to MED regulations.
- Ensure cleanliness and sanitation of the cultivation area and equipment.
Post Production Responsibilities:
- Participate in the harvesting of cannabis plants, assisting with safe cutting and handling.
- Trim and manicure harvested cannabis flower to meet established quality standards.
- Assist with the curing process to maintain proper humidity and temperature levels.
- Conduct visual inspections of products to identify and communicate any quality concerns.
- Follow sanitation protocols to maintain a clean and organized post-production area.
- Operate machinery such as the Rad Source 420 XL for product decontamination and the Hefestus Aura X for pre-rolled joint production as required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Must have reliable transportation to work in Englewood, CO
- Must be 21 years of age
- Must have a MED occupational license
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant experience in agriculture, horticulture, or the cannabis industry preferred.
- Knowledge of cannabis cultivation processes or willingness to learn.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and standing for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining safety standards.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work independently.
- Must be able to pass a background check and meet state licensing requirements.
