Job Summary
Performs comprehensive customer service duties responding to a wide variety of requests for information. Performs telephone and reception/information desk duties including greeting and directing the public to tenant suites or appropriate Housing Authority of the City and County of Denver (“DHA”) departments and/or individuals. Coordinates with parking lot attendants who assist in the enforcement of parking procedures.
Performs tasks within an office setting, which may be subject to frequent interruptions. This includes managing distractions effectively while maintaining productivity and focus on assigned responsibilities. Flexibility and adaptability are essential to navigate a dynamic work environment.
Manages work pressure due to simultaneous calls, inquiries, and visitor interactions effectively, demonstrating strong multitasking and stress management skills.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Greets and announces visitors to the appropriate departments or individuals. Adheres to guidelines in respect to calling designated employees to escort the visitors to the appropriate departments.
- Assists the Property Management Specialist with the monitoring of parking lot(s) and enforcement of parking procedures, and reports violations when they occur. Coordinates special parking arrangements.
- Performs general office duties to include answering switchboard and routing calls to appropriate staff, sorting and distributing faxes, parcels and packages, maintaining visitor logs, access cards, scheduling meeting rooms, and other clerical duties.
- Ensure the security and safety of the premises by managing the main entrance and exit. This includes verifying identification, regulating access, and responding to any security concerns.
- Maintain a working relationship with building tenants.
- Coordinates with the Department of Motor Vehicles to investigate vehicle ownership and verifying the registration and ownership details before recommending the towing of any vehicle. Additionally, document and report any violations or discrepancies discovered during the verification process.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Education
- High school diploma or GED
- A combination of appropriate education and experience may be substituted for the minimum educational requirements
Experience
- Minimum of two years of customer service and/or receptionist experience.
- Human Services experience preferred.
Licenses and/or Certifications
- Valid Colorado driver license. Maintain driving record in accordance with the Personnel Policy
