Position Title: Clinical Support Specialist
Reports to: Clinical Support Supervisor
Job Classification: Full-time; Non-exempt
Salary Range: $20.29 - $24.55 per hour
This shift schedule is from 7:00pm - 6:00am (Sunday - Wednesday OR Wednesday - Saturday!)
*There is a $1.50 per hour differential increase to pay when you work from 6:00pm - 6:00am!

At multiple locations throughout our community, we help restore the lives of people experiencing homelessness and addiction through emergency services, rehabilitation, transitional programs, and community outreach.
The Opportunity:
The Clinical Support Specialist (CSS) will report to the Clinical Support Supervisor and the Clinical Director of Counseling and Admissions. The CSS is responsible for supporting the counseling team and tasks associated with the day-to-day operation of The Crossing campus.
Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
Security and Safety:
- The CSS will operate as the primary support to the counseling team.
- The CSS will provide direct support to residents by performing community evaluations and monitoring resident compliance with program guidelines.
- The CSS is responsible for the security and safety of the facility and residents during their shift. This includes control of drugs, alcohol, or other hazards, which could jeopardize the purpose of the Mission/Crossing or its clients.
- The CSS is responsible for ensuring that situations which jeopardize the safety of the Mission/Crossing, and its occupants are handled appropriately. This means handling difficult and unruly clients, as well as making certain that occupants are free from drugs, alcohol, and weapons.
- Sees to the welfare of outside guests by calling police, ambulances or behavioral health services.
- Regularly checking and documenting the delivery of medications.
- Ensuring that the right person receives the correct medication.
Facilities:
- Maintenance: Through daily property checks the CSS will put in maintenance requests online as well as follow-up with email to appropriate staff.
- Shuttle Duty: When needed at The Crossing, the CSS will help with driving the shuttle
Other Responsibilities:
- CSS should understand their role in the daily operation of the Mission/Crossing, including the specific shift's area of focus: clinical support and facility safety.
- CSS must have a good working knowledge of the facility and program policies and procedures, operation of the facility, mechanical operation of the facility (including fire alarm, electric, gas, and water shut-off, etc.), how to control and track inventory, safety, employee handbook.
- CSS must schedule time off with the Clinical Support Supervisor so there is always a staff member on duty during all shifts.
- It is of vital importance that the CSS shows their presence throughout the facility throughout their shift.
- Other tasks as assigned by the Clinical Support Supervisor and/or Clinical Director of Counseling and Admissions.
Working Conditions:
- Occasional lifting up to 35 lbs., bending, and climbing stairs.
- Work with individuals who are experiencing homelessness, addiction, mental illness, and a myriad of other issues related to people experiencing homelessness.
- Possible exposure to communicable diseases.

Requirements
Minimal Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) and at least one year of relevant experience.
- Able to obtain Certified Addiction Technician (CAT) credential within 1 year of hire date.
- Affirm the Statement of Faith.
- Strong communication skills both written and orally.
- Ability to resolve conflict professionally and respectfully while maintaining composure under pressure.
- Basic knowledge of Windows software applications.
- Work schedule assigned.
NOTE: A limited amount of work-related travel may be required occasionally between facilities.
