Minimum Requirements
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Minimum 6 years of related work experience.
- Any equivalent combination of certifications, education, or experience that provides the required skills, knowledge and abilities for the position.
Licenses, Registration, and Certifications
Construction & Maintenance
- Must be able to possess and maintain a valid Class ‘R’ Colorado driver’s license and have a
satisfactory driving record.
- Possession of valid Class ‘A’ and ‘B’ Colorado Commercial Driver’s licenses is preferred.
- Trenching and Shoring Safety preferred (in-house).
- Confined Space Certification preferred (in-house)
- Asbestos Certification preferred (in-house).
- 30-hour OSHA certification within 12 months of appointment.

Position Summary
Water Distribution Trainer is responsible for developing coursework and delivering training to new and existing employees. Maintains appropriate training records and coordinates with L&OD as appropriate.
Responsible for on-boarding construction and maintenance staff.
Supervisory Responsibilities
This position may have formal supervisory responsibilities over other employees.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- On-board and train new employees on job site safety and standard methods and techniques including proper use of hand and power tools, lock out tag out (LOTO) procedures, and proper use of light equipment.
- Train new employees on applications and technologies such as timekeeping, GIS, work management, etc.
- Develop and maintain training facilities in order to simulate field conditions.
- Train employees on the utilization of machinery, tools, vehicles, materials, paperwork, and other items necessary for optimum performance.
- Assist in the development and update of standard operating procedures.
- Assist managers with the development of goals and metrics that support the overall operations of the organization and strategic initiatives.
- May be required to perform on call duty, work shifts, weekends, holidays and overtime as directed, and work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions.
- Perform related work as required.

- Construction & Maintenance: responsible for providing training related to construction and maintenance of the transmission and distribution system and appurtenances. Trains heavy equipment operators in the operation, maintenance, and safety aspects of heavy equipment including back hoes, excavators, loaders, dump trucks, tractor-trailer trucks, and other construction heavy equipment. Develop coursework and train employees for the purpose of acquiring Class A and/or B Commercial Driver’s License.
Salary : $29 - $46
